The formwork for the retaining wall came off today.

beer, brats and a little slab action

slab is in. we popped open the beers as soon as the mud hit the steel. you can get dehydrated watching people work in the sun all day. we cooked up some sausages a little later in the day to counterbalance the beers.

Awesome.

we got steel.........

bring on the bunker bustes...we are ready. we have been tying steel all week with the concrete guys and we got some serious steel action going on. guys are becoming masters with the GONCHO.

hopefully tomorrow we can pour...unless the pinche lluvia shows up again.

kids showed up for a random surprise inspection...they were tough...did not like our design so they began building their own house.

rain let up just long enough to get the finish grade cut and the void boxes and steel delivered. hopefully on monday the conrete guys will make it out to get this baby rolling.

now that eiji has his visa.....i guess he figures he can start working like an american.

day dreaming

So since construction's slow, I've been dreaming about how the house will look on the inside. This is the inspiration for the Master Bath. Who knows what it'll look like when you take certain things into consideration.. say, budget.
